Ironbush

Ironbush plants are squat grey bushes found growing across the Threshold, most commonly in the deciduous river meadows of the northeast. The bushes cause intense pain to any Fair Folk that touches them, and an irritating itching sensation when in close proximity.

If a Fair Folk touches an Ironbush (including with a tool, of gossamer or otherwise), 
treat as if they had made a punch attack against themselves, with the punch formed 
of pure iron. Within 20 miles of a bush, the irritation 
is only slight, within 1 mile it inflicts a -1 internal penalty on all of the Fair Folk’s rolls.
A Fair Folk will never willingly touch an Ironbush. 

During the spring and summer months, Ironbushes sprout small buds, grey-green with a metallic sheen. These buds can be brewed into a tea with a distinctly iron-tinged taste that, when consumed causes the drinker to cease experiencing dreams for a time. Should a Fae consume the tea, the effect is far more severe.

When drunk by a mortal, Ironbush Tea causes them to experience no dreams 
(including daydreams, fantasies, and drug-induced hallucinations) for five hours.  
When consumed by a Fair Folk, Ironbush Tea causes 10L damage, to which only 
natural soak (always excluding all armour) can be applied. 

Ironbush is not truly natural, designed during the First Age as a weapon against the Raksha and planted along Creation’s ever-expanding borders. The secrets of its creation and cultivation are lost in the Age of Sorrows, though some have managed to propagate the bushes and care for them, with perhaps a third of planted buds able to grow completely… the Linowan are most skilled at such a task, and have planted Ironbushes all along their border with Halta to defend against Fae raiders. They are less common within the furthest reaches of Northeastern forests as the acidic soils of conifer woods do not seem a hospitable environment for the plant.
