Hotaru

Hotaru, Chumyo of Illuminated Nights, is the god of Fireflies, serving in the Celestial Bureaucracy’s Bureau of Nature (with a seat on subcommittees including the Committee of Notch and Number, the Committee of Night and Shadow, and the Committee of the Glimmer and Gleam). Hotaru is particularly noted as a zealous official of the Commission for Administrative Complaints, seeking out ineptitude and corruption in the Bureau so it might be curtailed before the Celestial Censors must become involved... some conservative divinities of the Bureau approve of this, but it has left a trail of resentful gods who were censured or demoted as a result of her investigations.

Hotaru takes the form of a cloud of fireflies in a vaguely humanoid shape.
