Horn in the Cleft, written and choreographed by Cynis Norduka, is a theatrical production commonly seen on the stages of the Palace of Trees, using an elaborate set of dance steps and costumes.

Inspired by the legend surrounding the Rhino Gazing at the Moon in the scenic Qutang Gorge, Horn in the Cleft tells the tale of a Furnace Rhino (played on stage by four actors in costume) who is captured by a lascivious Shogunate general named Nevertearing, who is searching Creation for new sexual partners and has become enamoured with the Rhino's horn. Numerous comedic and sexual scenes ensue, until the chumyo ceases to be satisfied. The Rhino wanders about, attempting to repeat its experiences with numerous willing and unwilling partners, until the climactic scene where after an impressively acrobatic dance the Rhino's internal fires are accidentally quenched by the flood of the god Luna's satisfaction.
