The Great Tent Treason was a civil conflict within the forces aligned with Yurgen Kaneko, the Bull of the North, in the wake of their victory in the War with the Bull. It took place at the beginning of RY765.

A number of allied leaders assembled to discuss the post-war situation, in a great tent raised in sight of the dead city Fallen Lapis in Ardeleth. The surviving local royals, along with the leaders of Jarrith and a few other small Northeastern principalities, as well as chiefs & shamans from several Icewalker tribes, assembled to meet with the Bull in a great mammoth-skin tent, secured by an honour guard formed from all the Terrestrial Exalted under the Bull’s command. Most were more traditional-minded, who had begun to demand wartime controls be rescinded now that peace was secured. The needs of the post-war situation meant that several leaders, such as Samea, could not be present for the discussion.

Alas, Dragonblooded are treacherous creatures to their very core, despite the generosity of the Solar Exalted. At the command of Mors Ialden, former lieutenant of the Bull who had abandoned his duties after the Battle of Fallen Lapis, every Dragonblood drew its sword against the Bull and the loyal leaders assembled. The traitors managed to slay all the assembled leaders, but could not best the Bull, who cut down each and every one leaving no survivors.

To prevent chaos destroying what his alliance had fought so hard to win, the Bull wasted no time in appointing trusted and competent military governors to take command of those tribes and principalities left leaderless. An edict was also issued, condemning all Dragonblooded to death, for their treachery is total and constant and none in Creation can bear to trust them... so long as a single one remains, the war (and the wartime controls it demands) cannot truly be over.
