The Glorious Falcons, known as the Companions of Nasamara, are spirits who serve Nasamara the Falcon of Glory, god of Northern War, as his eyes and ears across Creation.

They serve as messengers for Nasamara, both to other divinities in Yu Shan and to his petitioners in Creation, but their prime responsibility is bureaucratic, providing manpower and muscle to the Office of Northern War. The Glorious Falcons oversee individual battles across the North, ensuring that soldiers who go to battle do so with proper energy and determination, that the tales of glorious victories and heroic sacrifices are remembered by those who survive them and passed on to inspire the next generation of warriors required to fight the future wars planned out by the Righteous & Indefatigable Division of War.

The Glorious Falcons have the appearance of raptors, the size of an adult human, speaking in loud booming voices and covered in blue feathers, clad in armour of polished Orichalcum. While their cousins the Valravn are stealthy and cunning, the Glorious Falcons are brave and direct. When soldiers shirk from the glory they ought be reaching, the Falcons will sometimes appear in the sky, issuing sharp cries to inspire shirkers back into the fray. They are also potent combatants in of themselves, and while they might come up slightly the lesser to the War Aurochs of Ahlat in simple tests of strength, the Glorious Falcons eagerly embrace the study of Terrestrial Martial Arts Styles, which makes them potent indeed… those who would seek to usurp or challenge the gods of Northern War must contend with the fists of the Falcons.
