Gala of Sextes Jylis

Time: Annually, on the 14th day of Resplendent Wood.

Location: Cynis wing of the Imperial Palace (Imperial City).

Host: House Cynis.

Invitations: House Cynis is liberal with their invitations to this celebration of sensuality. Those of particular romantic repute will often be invited multiple times, while anyone of sufficient beauty (Appearance 4+) will certainly be notified. Those of less physical appeal can easily manage invitations despite their handicaps, as an invitation is considered only a middling favour.

Outcastes, Immaculates, and sorcerers are not invited.

Theme and Activity: Ostensibly this Gala celebrates the Immaculate of Wood, Sextes Jylis. It is considered by many Immaculate monks, however, to be a perversion of Immaculate propriety, for under the guise of ‘spreading the seeds in emulation of the Wood Dragon incarnate’ the House of Cynis holds its largest orgy of the year in the Imperial City. Wine and narcotics flow like water, along with sweat and bodily fluids as the scions of the Dynasty abandon restraint in pursuit of hedonistic pleasure. Beautiful slaves of many shapes and races are present to serve the whims of the guests, and the political aspect inherent in Dynastic functions can be heard inserted between grunts and moans.

The Gala also serves as a ‘changing of the guard’, when one of the Three Sisters of House Cynis takes up watch over the House’s affairs in the City as her predecessor returns to their central manse at the Palace of Trees.
