Fragrant Mushroom

Fragrant mushrooms are amongst the most commonly used edible fungi on the Blessed Isle, growing on dead logs with dark brown camps and light brown stems.

They are eaten in a variety of dishes including stirfrys, soups, and steamed dishes. They can be dried to preserve them and rehydrated in water before use, with gourmands arguing that the drying process actually perfects rather than lessens their flavour.

Fragrant mushrooms are also thought to have medicinal properties, used to treat chronic fatigue and liver ailments.
