Fort Cykaris

Fort Cykaris is a farming village surrounding a Legion fort in the fertile Cykaris Valley of Lord's Crossing Dominion, some sixty miles southwest of Lord's Crossing itself along the Eagle Highway. The Valley was site of major fighting during the peasant uprising known as the Unbroken Rushes Rebellion, when forces from House Tepet and the Imperial Legions defeated a rebel mob moving through the valley towards Lord’s Crossing. The rebels were scattered, but continued to persist across the valley in small pockets, threatening the Highway. Legion forces were required to establish a permanent garrison as base for patrols and to defend loyal peasants, and the stone fort became the focal point of a large farming village.

Today, the fort is garrisoned by two soldiers from the 9th Legion of the Realm, and banditry seems to be on the rise in the surrounding region.
