Firmin Ichor

Firmin Ichor is a gleaming black substance extruded by Firmin demons from their own bodies. The ichor is released as a liquid, but hardens into a solid substance with the strength of steel.

The demons typically draw it out of themselves in long needles, which they use to build their nests and to defend themselves. However, sorcerers who summon Firmin are able to command the demons to release their ichor into moulds, allowing it to be shaped into weapons and armour of good quality far more quickly than a blacksmith can match with a forge, though it will never match the fine work of a master craftsman.

However, in addition to its disconcerting and alien appearance, Firmin ichor presents unique difficulties for those who seek to move with stealth. Whenever firmin ichor is exposed to the light of a sun (Sol Invictus, Ligier, or otherwise), it flashes and gleams brightly, drawing attention to the bearer. Any die coming up 1 on Stealth rolls made by a bearer of Firmin ichor who is exposed to sunlight reduce the successes on the roll by two. Negative successes guarantee that all in visual range note the presence of the bearer.
