Time: Annual, 27th (last Venusday) of Descending Fire.

Location: Realm-wide

Host: Immaculate Order & House Cynis

Invitations: Public

Theme and Activity: This festival occurs in a number of Immaculate temples across the Blessed Isle and Threshold, as Immaculate monks lead prayer to Rabszogla, the god of slaves and slavery. Compared to many divinities, this is not widespread, the Order not demanding the peasantry of the Blessed Isle provide worship en-masse, but prayer is generated appropriate to a god of such a prevalent institution, and the more Immaculately devout slave owners in the Realm will force their slaves to attend temples and offer prayers of thanks for the blessing that is their slavery.

Though they are not known for their piety, holding the Imperial Monopoly over the Realm Slave Industry sees House Cynis sponsoring religious services across the Isle so that Rabszolga receives his due. In conjunction with such services, the approach of Calibration has economic impact: due to that chaotic time's association with rebellion and disorder, the Humble And Honest Assessors Of The Imperial Tax assess a small fee for each slave held by a Dynast over the week of Calibration. With the year ended, the remaining stock in Cynis markets and slave troupes are sold at bargain prices, allowing House Cynis to divest of excess slaves (particularly those becoming undesirably old or who lack the talents and looks to be snatched up for service to the Scarlet Dynasty) before the fee is levied.
