Feathers Aflame (drink)

Feathers Aflame is a powerful cocktail of drugs and drink, seen often in the Cynis parties at the Palace of Trees and amongst practitionaers of Orgiastic Fugitive Style martial arts. It consists primarily of Absinthe, mixed with a young sparkling white wine, to which are added crystallized Bright Morning and dried leaves of Nestor's Mitre. This beverage has diverse effects on the mind, and some say it is particularly artful for the visual stimulation it provides: the Bright Morning dissolves slowly in the drink, leaving purple trails through the green liquid, while dark green Nestor's Mitre leaves expand and unfold as they hydrate, both kept in motion by the bubbles of the wine.

The drink is named in honour of Burning Feather, the goddess of intoxicants.
