Enlightened Regulators of Essence Engineering

The Enlightened Regulators of Essence Engineering was a department of the Thousand Scales, charged with the operation of the Realm's factory cathedrals including the Cathedral of Battle. The Regulators were also charged with the funding of production from such facilities, the coordination of manufacture for replacement parts to keep the Realm's magitech in operation, and the tracking of all magitechnology controlled by the Realm, the Great Houses, and other divisions of the Scarlet Empire. They also assisted in coordinating the training of thaumaturge-technicians to meet the needs of various entities and facilities within the Realm, a duty which gave them much control over the curriculum at the Realm's few schools of magical engineering.

The Regulators were disbanded in RY764, the assets under their purview divested to direct control of the Legions on the 28th day of Descending Earth. The last minister, Mnemon Venena, took retirement into the Immaculate Order.
