Chung Ting

Chung Ting is the City Mother of Juche, the capital of Juche Prefecture on the Blessed Isle. She serves in the Bureau of Humanity under Satrap of the Realm Jagalza.

Many rumours swirl around Chung Ting: that she is daughter of Ameru, in the shadow of whose great city hers was born; that she has relations with the Mountain Folk locked away beneath the earth and brokered the tribute paid by those strange folk to the Scarlet Empress; that she takes tea with Princess Mnemon and discusses the future of the Realm. Perhaps some of these tales are even true.

Just what makes gossips delight in rumours about the City Mother of Juche is unclear, as Chung Ting has served the Celestial Bureaucracy dutifully since her city was established at the feet of Mount Meru, tirelessly working to ensure Juche remains both stable and productive.

In appearance, Chung Ting takes the shape of a thick-set woman with a motherly demeanour, her skin Marble and her eyes glimmering Rubies. She is invariably clad in Super-Heavy Plate of Ivory and White Jade.
