I write to offer my acceptance of your invitation to a party on the 22nd. A chance to enjoy life's distractions and good conversation in the company of a friend is not something to be passed up!

I bear much responsibility for leaving our friendship to atrophy over the past few years... as you can perhaps understand, sometimes work and family seize hold of our focus and we lose sight of other important things.

Your invitation arrived as if fated, for I had been considering contacting you. Yours was always the keener mind, and over the past while I've run into questions on matters of magitech and geomancy and other subjects that are beyond my meager academic skills. Expect, between drinks, to be subjected to a layman's wonderings on esoteric subjects.
