I am not certain when this letter shall reach you, the Post can offer me few guarantees when it comes to sailors flitting between Western ports. But I have heard rumour that you may be returning, and so I send this letter in hopes that it will reach you as you come close to home.

You always had a good heart, and our shared friends gained greatly by it, both those born outside the Imperial City and Tiir who was condemned on basis of superstition. In times of trouble, there is nothing of greater value than a good heart, even if its path guarantees it struggles.

If you are present on the Isle before the end of Descending Earth, I hope we might meet once more. After so long at sea, you ought be welcomed by old friends, and to my shame I have let us all fall out of touch, something I hope can be reversed in the time that comes.
