This is a clarification of some confusion concerning the nature of Constellations and divinities… throughout Exalted’s 1e and 2e, and running through the wider fanbase, there are a number of different approaches to what exactly these things are… they appear as gods, as titles to which gods are appointed, as bureaucratic hierarchies, as godless star clusters, as labels of convenience for specialized god-machines, as metaphysical archetypes woven into the Loom of Fate, as objects in the panoplies of Destiny’s functionaries. They could be any of those things and be wonderful for triggering imagination, useful for telling stories… but before any story can be told, one must make the choice of WHAT and WHERE and WHY. This is one answer.
