The Great Curse of the Sidereal Exalted might not be known as such, but there are few gods in Heaven who have not noted their tendency towards hubristic squabbling and factional division amongst themselves. There should be little surprise at this: even free of hubris, the powers and responsibilities of the Sidereals charge them with the salvation of Creation both against the grand threats and the minor errors which might one day build up into avalanches, and provisions them with abilities to recognize those problems as well as resolve them. The Sidereals are aware of how fragile Creation is, of the great power and sacrifice it takes to preserve it, and so when they perceive solutions they will pursue them with the greatest passion and dedication.

The Sidereal Factions of the present Age are borne of the great split in their ranks which accompanied the end of the Golden Age and the launch of the Usurpation, followed by various movements rejecting both sides of that great divide. Not all members of the Fivescore Fellowship consider themselves members of a Faction, but non-Sidereals oft note that the fervor and dedication with which they reject Factional affiliation amounts to Factional affiliation in of itself.
