Butter-Cheese is a dairy product produced in the Northern Threshold from the milk of Cattle. It is light in colour, with a soft, near-spreadable texture and buttery consistency, enjoyed either young or smoked. The most prized butter-cheese comes from the cattle of Windcreche in the Haslanti League, who are known for their small stature and sweet Milk... while most butter-cheese remains in the North and is eaten locally to where it is produced, Windcreche cheese is considered a luxurious delicacy amongst River Province aristocracy, with a lucrative trade done shipping it south down the River of Tears at rapid speed to ensure it arrives without excessive ageing.
