This faceted, rectangular stone is a deep sea green flecked with blood red. It grants its bearer an intimate understanding of their own blood as it courses through their body, and with that understanding some measure of control, sensing contaminants and invasives, and blocking the spread of poisons.

When the bearer becomes poisoned, they immediately sense this, and can glean some understanding on the effects of the poison should it be allowed to spread. The bearer may make themselves immune to any non-magical poison in their body, and for any magical poisons, such as Yozi Venom or poisons produced through Charms or thaumaturgy, they may choose to automatically resist, though they still suffer some effect. This selective immunity can be activated as a reflexive action, and bearers have been known to use this to their advantage... enjoying the full flavours and inebriation of wine to lull their enemies without detectable deception, only to suddenly achieve sobriety when an advantage presents.

Additionally, the bearer gains awareness of foreign bodies entering their bloodstream… a needle sliding into neck as they sleep, a broken sword tip worming its way towards their heart, a biogenesis implant or demonic presence buried in their bodies. While they cannot purge these things directly, they gain intimate knowledge of shape and position, reducing to 1 the Difficulty of Awareness rolls to detect them and Medicine rolls to surgically remove or otherwise interact with them (including implanting and concealing additional foreign bodies, such as lockpicks, knives, etc... a function making the stone popular amongst assassins, though it must be noted that the stone does not grant any inherent immunity to the pain of surgery on oneself to conceal or remove objects).

The Bloodstone is considered to be one of the Stones of the Immaculate Body.
