Biting Sauce

A bright orange-red dipping sauce of numerous red peppers (of both sweet and hot varieties), scallions, and a touch of radish, ground down into a paste then loosened with oil. Biting Sauce offers a burst of initial heat, followed by sweetness, and is used by Dynastic chefs as accompaniment to a number of dishes, including bread, dumplings, fried foods, and Western School Cuisine sashimi.
Biting Sauce is one of the sauces featured in the Dance of Five Directions.
