Ash Rose Island

Ash Rose Island is one of the numberous small islands which dot the Inner Sea, approximately one hundred miles west of Thorns. It is home to a small port, whose ancient facilities were patched back to usefulness in the late Shogunate Era.

Home to little more than a pair of vacation estates belonging to House Mnemon and House Tepet for centuries, the fall of Thorns to the Mask of Winters has pushed the island to sudden strategic significance, due to its potential as a staging point for fleets making the crossing between Threshold and Blessed Isle.

House Ragara was granted the Tepet lands in the wake of the War with the Bull, and negotiations are ongoing between that House and potential buyers: House Ledaal (which seeks to advance its studies of the Deathlords) and House Peleps (which seeks a base for expanded patrols by the Imperial Navy) remain locked in a bidding war for the estate, and despite both sides making inquiries House Mnemon has indicated it has no intention of giving up its own holdings.
