Akyaquee
Akyaquee is the god of Stories, serving in the Board of Talk and Tale within the Celestial Bureaucracy’s Bureau of Humanity.
As god of stories, Akyaquee is a potent deity, her purview weaving through the cultures of Creation, the gods of tale-weavers and histories alike answering to her as the second pillar of the Board of Talk and Tale, her counterpart the Board’s Satrap, Sarasvathy, god of Human Language. Akyaquee has been careful not to overtly challenge Sarasvathy for leadership of the Board, for the wrath of the Satrap and her subordinate gods of language and linguistic concept could wreak havoc with the spread of stories across Creation… but all gods on the Board are well aware that the god of stories COULD make a play for leadership, leaving constant tension between the gods of Tale and those of Talk.
Akyaquee is, at very least, a competent god, her purview overseen and paperwork completed to a high standard, her subordinates allowed a great deal of leeway from direct oversight so long as their duties are fulfilled. However, in exchange for this Akyaquee expects that those answering to her will remain loyal to the god of Stories, and she does not easily forget acts which she sees betraying this principle: Akyaquee remains particularly embittered embittered by the departure of Spinner of Glorious Tales to become Patron god of Great Forks, and regularly petitions for the removal of Spinner’s Warrant and the prosecution of Great Forks’ patron gods for crimes against Heaven. So far, due to the quiet intervention of Wun Ja and her allied Censors such as Aligept, these calls have borne no fruit.
Though she has a reputation for diligence, there have been occasional rumours that Akyaquee holds some sympathies for the chaotic machinations of the Fair Folk and the stories that seem to surround them.
Said to be one of the most majestic gods in Yu-Shan, Akyaquee's appearance brings tears to the eyes of those that gaze upon her, yet strangely, few can agree on her exact visage.
