The 15th Imperial Legion has served the Realm for centuries, notable campaigns including suppressing the Nine Duchies Rebellion in RY174.

Under Ragara sponsorship, the 15th has been undergoing rapid and thorough restructuring with the intent of producing a 'rapid response Legion' which can quickly deploy by sea to any point on the Isle or Threshold as problems arise, an approach viewed as more cost-effective than maintaining permanent garrisons. Amongst its more recent operations under this new structure was the Scorching of Dàn Tranh, where the 7th Dragon's 1st Wing 1st Talon under talonlord Nellens Fucian scattered a nascent rebellion in the Southeast by striking before the wayward river god behind it had mustered the local population.

A posting in An-Teng is much sought after amongst Ragara Legionnaires due to the satrapy's reputation as a vacation destination. Even the typical duties of the An-Teng garrison in suppressing piracy have been taken up by the Vermillion Legion under Tepet Ejava.
