The Gentle Rule is a text attributed to the Immaculate Dragon Danaa'd, numbered amongst the Immaculate Texts. It sets out the rules and procedures by which the Immaculate Order organizes and operates itself, detailing everything from dietary restrictions to measuring progress through the Coils of understanding to the social order of monasteries.

Though it is not often discussed with lay adherents of the Order, while the Rule is clear on temple ranks and on the leadership-by-example of the five Paragons of the Immaculate Dragons, it does not name a 'Mouth of Peace' nor 'Palace Sublime' (all though the orthodox position of the Order is that these are legitimate, drawn from other portions of the Texts such as the Immaculate Mandate, and from the Gentle Rule in that the Paragons agree upon the rightful Mouth of Peace).

There has been some debate that the Paragons the Rule refers to are not meant to be a position for all the Faith, but like almost all the roles set out in this Text a local position within an individual temple or monastery. This position was particularly common during the sectarian theological disputes of the early Shogunate Era, and while it has largely faded from Creation it remains popular in certain pockets such as the Immaculate Brotherhood of Gens Raskali or the state-sponsored Immaculate sect of Lookshy.
