The Sevenfold Dishes are the elaborate foods which stand as centrepieces of the most important celebration feasts in Dynastic society, and are said to have been favoured by the Scarlet Empress herself, who set the master chefs of the Imperial Palace to their perfection. Each dish is drawn from one of the seven Great Schools of Cooking, and together they present a culinary tapestry that crosses all of Creation in ingredients and flavours.
