Secretariat of Minor Charms and Baubles

The Secretariat of Minor Charms and Baubles is a subdivision of the White Ministry, charged with registering and licensing practitioners of thaumaturgy and the minor charms they produce. The Secretariat actually employs more bureaucrats than its parent, as thaumaturges far outnumber sorcerers. The cost of licenses is high, the tests and reviews imposed strenuous (including getting a stamped 'spiritual sanctity' review from an Immaculate monk once a season and submitting it to the Secretariat along with a processing fee).
