Funerary Silence is a ritual practice amongst adherents of the Immaculate Order when remembering the dead. Its roots, though monks would point to the Immaculate Texts, are likely in the human tendency to memorialize the fallen. Where words spoken might easily become prayer, memorial objects grave goods to bribe ghosts from reincarnation, silence allows mourners to express grief and indulge memory without violation of the Perfected Hierarchy.
