Tales of Loyal Virtue are a type of folktale found in the Scarlet Empire. These tales tend to be known widely among Dynastic slave-owners and their slaves, though in far different variations.
The tales, in the versions embraced by masters, tell of slaves who treat loyalty and devotion as the highest virtues, embracing their status as slaves and readily sacrificing their lives to render aid to their masters.
Among slaves, these tales change in nature, often becoming lessons on how to survive life as a slave.
