Blood Berries are small, bright red berries which grow from vines growing on the trunks of conifers in the Northeastern Threshold, becomin ripe in the month of Descending Fire. Blood Berries are edible, with a coppery taste, and stain skin and teeth a bright red. This sees them occasionally used to produce dyes for art and clothing, but they are too rare for this to be common, and they are almost always used as a medicine to assist those recuperating from injury and blood loss. Sun-dried, the berries can kept and used for up to one year before they lose their effect.
