The voices of the two authors remain distinct throughout the work, Ketek beginning to assert that losses were due to establishing too wide a perimeter and political infighting, while Yagu criticizes reliance on magitech and sorcery over boots-on-the-ground which left Shogunate forces few and far between when numbers were needed.
