Valley of Two Storms

The Valley of Two Storms is a narrow river valley located in the coastal Northeastern Threshold, east of Green Cliff Mountain, north of Madura, and northwest of Azerban.

Until recently, the Valley was a quiet, pastoral landscape of small villages and homesteads located close to the river, which kept their crops generously supplied with water, the population small enough to escape notice by the major powers of Creation save for paying occasional tribute to passing patrols of the Imperial Legions or raiders from nearby Azerban, the only notable event the Battle of Two Storms where the Realm’s 4th Imperial Legion defeated a barbarian raiding party led by the Anathema Sleeves of War in RY753.

Recent events, however, have transformed the valley to its core. The destruction of the Wall of Ice during the Campaign against the Anathema-Voivode changed the nature of the river, transforming a full and lazy flow into one more shallow and more rapid. This change nearly immediately dropped the water source away from settlements and fields, and rendered the usual route of navigation unusable, devastating the way of life of the Valley’s inhabitants.

Today, most of the Two Storms Valleyfolk have departed, making the difficult trek southward to the Imperial satrapies there, or northward to seek the promised salvation of the Blue Prophet. A scant few remain, eking out subsistence through their lessened crops.
