Radiant Mother of Princes is a potent mace weapon, a goremaul crafted in the First Age by the Solar Shining Righteous Word. Its haft is of orichalcum, sleek and slippery in the hands of any save the one attuned to it, and its head is a sphere of orichalcum studded in ivory-hued white jade and ribbed with iron-grey starmetal. The sphere glows with a brilliant white light when combat is joined.

Radiant Mother of Princes forms part of the panoply of the Golden Lord, symbolizing his position as God of An-Teng. Its form is replicated in more mundane fashion by the three royal scepters borne by the Princes of An-Teng as symbols of office.

The power of Radiant Mother of Princes is not so much in the damage it can deal (it is of composite construction and thus recieves no magical material bonuses) but in its effect on those who seek to rise against it. When it strikes a foe, the goremaul's blow reverbrates into their very soul, shaking their resolve and often compelling them to cease fighting and offer no more resistance.

The starmetal of the weapon, and its name, come from Radiant Mother of Princes, the god of An-Teng during the early First Age. Radiant Mother was destroyed by Shining Righteous Word and her corpse used to help forge the weapon that would symbolize An-Teng's true deity.
