Crepuscular Transduction Engine
The Crepuscular Transduction Engine is an artifact created at the Heptagram by the artificers Cynis Mond and Ledaal Montegnin some centuries ago. The two employed a scavenged Theonuminal Transduction Engine from the ruins of a Manufactory Cathedral, which had stood for some time amongst the Heptagram’s inert objects for study, replacing the purified prayer normally used to power its cutting flame with a mirror system adapted from the forging of Orichalcum to concentrate and purify the light of the Unconquered Sun.
The resulting device was able to produce a cutting blade not quite so fine or powerful as that of a Cathedral, and limited by the need to burn through a coolant of bound air elementals and the requirement that the Sun be close to His zenith to supply sufficient light.
Today, the only known Crepuscular Transduction Engine remains atop one of the towers of the Heptagram, a vital part of its artifice program for students and used by visiting alumni for their personal projects.
