Board of Trade

The Board of Trade is amongst the smaller offices of the Bureau of Humanity’s Department of Universal Human Affairs. In Creation, and even within the Celestial Bureaucracy itself, many believe the Board of Trade to be the pantheon of merchants and lenders, but while this was once true those days have passed: a number of concepts relating to Trade were among those which transitioned to the Bureau of Heaven, and most others were swept up under the aegis of the Board of Bribery & Finance when its expansion was engineered under Amoth City-Smiter. With the gods of sea trade firmly under the Board of the Sea and the purviews concerning beasts-of-burden jealously grasped by the Bureau of Nature, the Board of Trade has had little room to expand, and today consists primarily of the gods of various vehicles and narrow economic concepts.

A number of divinities have called for it to be officially dissolved, but this has been vehemently resisted by its Satrap… forgotten by most in Yu Shan, the Directional Languages of Creation include numerous prayers directed to the Board and its leader. The current Satrap of the Board of Trade, Kubera Bearer of the Heavy Pot, god of Coinage, is determined that the well will not run dry.
