Economy

Guanchen is a town in the northern part of Dongguan Prefecture, which serves as administrative capital for the prefecture. Its population is predominantly employed providing labour for the harvesting, processing, and transporting the output of the surrounding Dynastic estates.

Layout

A central road runs north to south through the town, heading further north into Chanos Prefecture and south to Nancheng village. The town is home to an Immaculate temple, a number of smiths and taverns, and a stable selling workhorses. It is also home to a banking office for financial dealings with Ragara Takret out of Chanos' Wall District.


Stream of Blossoms – Wood-aspect manse-villa (••) whose gardens have been famed as an inspirational haunt for poets since the time of the Shogunate. The Stream is a holding of House Tepet, though at present no Tepet Dynast takes permanent residence there.


Shield of Time Pickling Factory - Large pickling and packing factory for preserving prefectural produce. Controlled jointly by V’neef Kenet, V’neef Tapan, and V’neef Cejanis.


Eternal Embrace Pickling Factory - Large pickling and packing factory for preserving prefectural produce. Controlled by House Cynis.


Estate of Lord Cynis Akabar – Estate occupying the western side of Guanchen, consisting of pens and a market for slaves. Slaves are sold or rented to provide labour to the prefecture’s orchards and plantations, and the unruly are purchased back at low rates and re-sold to the mines in Juche Prefecture. The estate also contains kola orchards and has expanded to begin qat production in recent years.
