Cocaine

Cocaine, also known as 'Glee Powder', is a potent drug found in the form of a white powder derived from the leaves of the Coca Bush. It is typically taken by snorting the powder, and only a small quantity is required to have an effect. Some also mix small amounts into a snuff mixture along with Tobacco and other spices.

Cocaine is an intense stimulant that increases reaction time and dispels fatigue, while also bringing about joy and confidence (what some term megalomania). As dosage increases, paranoia may mount, as will body tremors and convulsions. Overdosing is possible and an unpleasant death. The drug takes effect quickly and leaves the system quickly, followed by a period of negative emotions and depression. Avoiding this state is a major factor driving the high addictiveness of cocaine.

Cocaine is available across Creation due to The Guild, which undertakes the complex processing near its Southern coca plantations. Cocaine powder is more easily transported and preserved than coca leaves, and more addictive, making it a superior product in the eyes of Guild factors responsible for the drug trade.
