Peimin Vessal

Peimin Vessal was a swordsman of the Shogunate Era, considered one of the Five Paragons of the Shogunate or Five Banished Immortals, styled Banished Mars, though no such titles are referenced in texts which pass through the censors of the Realm and the Immaculate Order.

Peimin Vessal was known as the master of the Daisho traditionally worn by Shogunate Dragonblooded, wearing a longer blade or Daiklave for reach and open combat, with a shorter sword for closer quarters, though the specific Martial Arts Style he practiced has been lost, its last known students perishing in battle against the Balorian Crusade.

Banished Mars was also considered master of the Sword Dance, where the martial elements of swordplay were set aside for perfection of performance, and here at least some Shogunate Era tapestries depict a few of the forms he demonstrated. Some who have been able to study these forms have observed several correspondences with Fire Dragon Style martial arts.
