Requires: Requires: 50%+1 Majority.
Circumstances: Any.
Description: Can be called at any time by any Senator of the Greater Chamber. Voting follows immediately, and if the motion passes, then all debate is halted and the Greater Chamber ends its work for the day. Traditionally, there is a backlash against Senators who call for Adjournments in the midst of debate, for doing so is considered an act of cowardice or a sign one’s position is untenable.
