Cynis Belar Aldaris is a middle-aged Senator of the House Cynis caucus in the Deliberative. A graduate of the Cloister of Wisdom, he is a known practitioner of the Immaculate Fire Dragon Style.

Unlike many of his housemates, Aldaris is considered a conservative legislator, decrying the excesses of the Scarlet Dynasty (usually meaning his own House, though those who think him a Cathak in Cynis clothing have been proven wrong with his criticisms of House Cathak militarism). He leaves no doubt that he supports the stability of the Realm, seeing good leadership and Immaculate presence as key to this: he was an associate of Cathak Curella, but broke with her over opposition to the Council of the Empty Throne, and though their positions have come closer in the time since they have not been seen to experience any personal rapprochement.
