Invitations: Invitations to the Crystal Ball are VERY exclusive… on more than one occasion, a life-debt has been repaid with a single invite to a Mnemon gala. Dynasts of House Mnemon may be expected to obey their matriarch without question in all things, but guaranteed admission to these events is a perk whose value may just serve as due recompense… for those who have not saved lives nor spewed from family loins, gaining entry is difficult indeed without having a good century of political capital to prove one’s worth.

Theme and Activity: The Crystal Ball is a lavish affair for the Dynasts of House Mnemon and the elders who they count as allies, mingling across great halls, amidst such strange delights as angyalka harpists and Djala acrobats. The sheer expense of food and wine make the Ball well worth the time of a senior Dynast, while the political machinations formed here will cement alliances from this year into the next.

History

554 – The Scarlet Empress declines an invitation to the Crystal Ball, citing the need to prepare for her newly-instituted public Gateway match the following day. She will not attend the Ball again.
