'Immaculate Commentaries' is a term used to refer to the massive body of secondary texts produced by members of the Immaculate Order, for consumption amongst clergy, laypeople, or potential converts. The term refers literally to a text that is a commentary on the meaning and directly applicable lessons found in the holy Immaculate Texts, as all Immaculate ideas must find origin amongst the righteous lessons of the Dragons rather than in new innovations, but this can cover a wide breadth of topics, from agricultural manuals prepared to teach efficient rice cultivation in dark soils to the peasants of Black Mountain Prefecture (drawn from the instructions passed by Sextes Jylis to his disciples) to pamphlets critiquing Hundred Gods Heresy cults (by contrasting with the enlightened example provided in the Texts). Some commentaries also claim source amongst the unsanctioned apocrypha, though even here these often seek to legitimize their sources by referencing the official canon Texts.
