Tael

Shift Chief of the Fire Shift at Ore Foundry N17 in Harmegis. Tael’s dissatisfaction with the current state of Claslat society is intense, shared with a loose network of others amongst the surrounding Populat population, though he has not developed a programme for wider reform and currently obsesses more over striking back at greedy Populat glot-bosses and corrupt Economicat officials than the world which would need to be built afterwards. When Len and Vigorous March of Progress identified his discontent through their work with study circles, they had some sympathy, and instead of flagging Tael for infraction and demotion they attempted to calm his approach, telling him that the only change caused were he to riot would be a new wave of Lumpen and a Regulator armoury lessened by a box of crossbow bolts. Tael was persuaded to hold back, even if a desire for punitive action remains in his thoughts.

Today, March keeps in contact with Tael, the shift chief providing an ear amongst the quietly dissatisfied segment of the Populat while March can offer assistance to those people with personal interference in the face of particularly difficult abuses or shortages.
