Geography
High Tower Prefecture is a landlocked administrative division of the southeastern Blessed Isle. It is bordered to the northeast by Locust Spire Prefecture and Lake Frothtide, fed by the Roaring Waters River descending from the slopes of the Isle’s central mountains.
Economy
The economy of High Tower Prefecture is concentrated on glutinous rice farming, its landscape coated in a patchwork of rice paddies across nearly its entire length. High Tower Prefecture is also a major producer of rice-based products including flour and alcoholic beverages.
Politics
Prefect: Peleps Ichabanar
High Tower Prefecture is currently dominated by House Peleps, and considered by some to be its ancestral heartland, if such can be said to exist for such a divided Great House.
Layout
High Tower: Prefectural capital, on the shores of Lake Frothtide. High Tower is named for the Tower High Above the Waters, manse around which the town grew. High Tower is home to a number of amenities, including a small shipyard for construction of boats for river and lake sailing.
Roaring Waters River: A fast and rocky river, forming High Tower Prefecture’s northern border.
Lake Frothtide: A large freshwater lake, whose shores are dotted with country estates built by the Dynasts of House Peleps. The lake is known for its strong currents, which seem to follow the moon much as the tides of the oceans, and is often filled with the sails of pleasure boats and racers.
