Passion Vines are a species of flowering vines thought to originate on the Isle of Eternal Leaves just off the coast of the Blessed Isle, though cultivation has spread to the Blessed Isle and southwestern Threshold as well. The passion vine is highly vulnerable to frost, which will kill it off very quickly.

The flowers of the Passion Vine, known as passion flowers, are large and complex, though they often do not last more than a day or two before shriveling. They are most commonly seen in shades of purple, covered in long thin petals often looping about the flower. These flowers are valued for medicinal purposes, having a notable calming effect useful in treating insomnia and hysteria.

The fruit of the vines is known as the passion fruit, oval in shape with a deep purple skin and a soft juicy yellow interior filled with seeds. In cuisine, the passion fruit can be served halved, diners scooping out the insides with a spoon. It is also used to produce juice and liqueurs, which have a vibrant yellow colour. Passion fruit is considered a mild aphrodesiac and a very mild sedative.
