Bright Longevity Mushroom

Bright Longevity mushrooms are fungi widely cultivated across Creation for medicinal purposes. They are identified by their large caps, red at the center changing to ivory at the edges, and are found growing at the base of trees or by rocks near rivers.

Bright Longevity Mushrooms are said to guarantee long life if consumed regularly, and form an ingredient in most alchemical preparations for longevity or immortality. Those who cannot afford such preparations sometimes consume the mushrooms directly, and they are also used to treat chest ailments, strengthening the heart and breathing.

Bright Longevity is traditionally prepared as a tea using hot water, boiled repeatedly to concentrate itss properties. The resulting brew is extremely bitter.
