The Freedom Stone functions as described in the Exalted 2e Core pp.383.

In summary, the bearer can never be physically restrained: physical restraints fail to close/knot/etc, all grapple, clinch, throw, or hold manoeuvres vs. bearer fail automatically. If bearer uses the internet, producers of pornographic fanart will be drawn to her from across Creation. The stone does not free the bearer from CONFINEMENT (locked doors, barred gates, etc will still restrain them).

Note that the Freedom Stone’s effect is total and far reaching, and those who have born such stones for significant lengths of time are known to take on the stone’s desire to be free in other aspects of their lives: restrictions more irksome, prison cells seem more torturous, marital promises less binding… this subtle, and not a compulsion, properly portrayed as a roleplayed rather than mechanical effect.
