The Theonuminal Transduction Engine is a bulky tool found in Manufactory Cathedrals which creates a tiny but pure and powerful cutting flame, able to etch and engrave materials of great strength (such as Adamant or [Adamantine Glass|its derivatives]]), and to shape thin lengths of the Magical Materials (such as Orichalcum) or Magical Alloys such as Majestrum) without damaging them.

Use of Theonuminal Transduction Engines (guided through use of Focusing Motonoscopes) is vital to allow technicians to accomplish the fine manipulation of wiring demanded by Magitech artifice, particularly in assembly of Essence Circuits.

The Engines are of no use outside of Factory Cathedrals... bulk aside, their cutting flame is not a generation of earthly Essence but of prayer energies, directed from the divinity to which the Cathedral is dedicated. Of the motonic energies of the prayer rising from the Cathedral to the spirit in Heaven, certain quantities cycle back to drive various systems within the Cathedral, including the Engines. In the Age of Sorrows, some attempts have been made to find alternative means of powering an Engine, including efforts at the Heptagram by Cynis Mond and Ledaal Montegnin which produced the Crepuscular Transduction Engine, but none of these have achieved the same functionality as the original.
