The various types of Exaltation have long embraced different frameworks for their alliances and interrelations. The Solar Exalted were each a power unto themselves, the Sidereal Exalted oft divide themselves into Factions all sharing a common goal but divided schisms on how it is reached, and the Dragonblooded into families united by common blood. Among the Lunar Exalted, pacts and divisions take the form of the Lunar Societies or Lunar Pacts, at core divided on the essence of what Lunars are, the core of definition that anchors their protean Essence. Societies consist of many individual Lunars and packs, but over time each of its members have come to share numerous tribal rituals and traditions.
Disagreements and conflicts, sometimes violent, occur between the Societies (and, slightly less frequently, within them), particularly over territory and claiming newly-Exalted Lunars, but despite their differences they are not in open war, and Lunars of different societies will work together when their interests align, or gather to discuss their progress and common efforts to save themselves and Creation.
The three major Societies are:
The Sun King Seneschals: A Society directly descended from the Lunars of the First Age, defined by their pairings with the Solar Exalted and the Solar Bond.
The Silver Pact: A Society based primarily along the edges of Creation, defined by their individual accomplishments, their personal story, as depicted in the Moonsilver Tattoos with which they adorn their bodies.
The Crossroads Society: A Society long involved with the merchants of Creation, particularly The Guild, defined by wealth and commercial dealings.
