Description
Bringer of Light into Darkness, known colloquially as ‘Lightbringer’, is a Noble Warstrider of red jade, standing 20ft tall. Its red jade armour panels are accented with white jade and gold, and carved in the form of scales. Its head too is draconic in imagery, a cloak of magical black cloth, shimmering pearlescent, falling from its shoulders like folded wings. Large eye-like gemstones on either side of the helm can, at the will of the pilot, be made to gleam with bright red light, focusing forward to illuminate its surroundings.
Lightbringer’s right arm is dominated by a large Concussive Essence Cannon system, while its left carries the black jade warstrider daiklave Blade of Matrimony.
History
Lightbringer has served with the 1st Imperial Legion for centuries, granted when the Legion became the garrison force of the Imperial City. Though a powerful weapon, it was not deployed in the vaunted warstrider formation of the Empress’ Own Guard in their battles against the Scavenger Lands due to difficulty repairing systems damaged in battle against the Fair Folk before the ascension of the Scarlet Empress. It is claimed that the warstrider slew over a thousand Fae in a single engagement before the Empress brought about the salvation of Creation.
Bringer of Light into Darkness is currently attached to the 1st Imperial Legion Warstrider Talon as command strider. It is piloted by dragonlord Cathak Daiko.
