The 21st Legion is known by the nickname 'Merchant's Bane'.
During the Trade War between the Realm and the Guild RY416-418, the 21st Legion was tasked with hunting down and destroying Guild caravans trapped on the Blessed Isle by the outbreak of hostilities as they moved along the Earth Dragon Road and Eagle Highway. They are thought to have performed this duty admirably. The Gala of Intemperate Beancounters held in RY418 at the Palace of Trees, where two captured Guild merchants were forced to fight to the death and the survivor raped until he too was dead, is said to have been inspired by the actions witnessed amongst his men by a 21st Legion officer from House Cynis.
The 21st Imperial Legion fell under sponsorship of House Mnemon in RY764. The Legion was disbanded, most of its assets absorbed into the Mnemon House Guard.
